Maya's chore screen in Tagwell: make your bed, feed the dog, set the table, with 15 stars to spend and 5 more for an ice cream trip

A screen just for kids

Big Done buttons and only their own chores. When the list is done, they get a celebration.

Their own style

Kids pick their colors, a background like dinos or stars, and the burst that pops when they finish a chore.

Stars and rewards

Every chore earns stars. Kids spend them in a rewards shop you set up, and you approve each one.

Photo proof

Turn it on and kids snap a photo of the made bed or the tidy room. Stars count once you've checked it.

Take turns fairly

Rotate chores between kids automatically, so nobody feeds the dog three nights running.

Shared tablet or own phone

Use one family tablet with a code for each child, or pair a kid's own phone. No kid emails needed.

Rewards shop

Stars they can actually spend

Kids save up for rewards you pick together, like 30 minutes of screen time, choosing dinner or an ice cream trip. When they tap Get it, you get a request to approve.

  • Set a star price for each reward
  • Give bonus stars for a great attitude or extra help
  • Turn on photo proof, so a chore counts once you've seen it

Questions

Do kids need their own account?

No. Kids log in on a shared tablet with a code you set, or on their own phone paired with a code from yours. No email or account.

What can kids earn?

You decide. Set up rewards like extra screen time, picking the family movie, a sleepover or pocket money, with a star price for each. You approve every reward.

What chores work best?

Small, clear jobs they can finish alone: make the bed, feed the pet, set the table, put clean clothes away. See the chore ideas by age.

Do grown-ups get reminders too?

Yes. Filters, gutters and the dryer vent stay on the same calendar, color-coded by person.

Is the family part free?

Team, kids and rewards are part of Tagwell Plus ($9.99 a year) in the phone app. The web app has it unlocked for free.
